Geologist Visits TCPS A geologist from a local mine recently visited the Grade 4 students. The presentation helped students deepen their understanding of rocks and minerals while showing how science is applied beyond the classroom. Gold in Zone Public Speaking Competition Ella Easthope, a Grade 6 student at Timmins Centennial, earned Gold in her category (Grades 4–5–6) at the Zone Public Speaking Competition held in Kapuskasing. Ella will now advance to the District level competition, which will take place in Englehart on March 15, 2026.

Construction SHSM and ICT SHSM Students Explore Skilled Trades Through Virtual Reality Students in Timiskaming District Secondary School's Construction and ICT SHSM programs took part in an engaging VR Day that explored career pathways in the skilled trades. Using immersive simulators, they safely experienced trades like welding, automotive spray painting, operating a skid steer, and driving farm equipment while building skills and safety awareness.

Public Speaking Competition Three students advanced at Timmins Centennial Public School's Public Speaking Contest to the Legion competition this weekend and swept the podium, earning First and Second in the Junior division and First in Primary. Our two first-place winners will now represent our school and the local Legion at the Zone contest in Kapuskasing this Saturday.
