Through the Eyes of Youth Opens at the Timmins Museum!

Timmins High & Vocational School is proud to present "Through the Eyes of Youth", a student art exhibition showcasing the creativity, talent, and unique perspectives of our young artists.

Featuring more than 50 original works of art created by over 16 students, the exhibition highlights pieces produced by Timmins High art students, Art Club members, Arts & Culture SHSM students, and recent graduates. Visitors will experience a diverse collection of artwork spanning a variety of mediums, styles, and personal expressions.

  • Where: Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre
  • When: June 2 – June 28, 2026
  • Admission: Free

Every artwork on display offers a glimpse into the experiences, ideas, emotions, and creativity of the students who created them. The exhibition is the result of months of dedication, experimentation, and artistic growth by students from Timmins High’s Visual Arts program, Art Club, and Arts & Culture SHSM, alongside several recent graduates who continue to pursue their passion for the arts.

A special thank you to the Timmins Museum staff, families, friends, and community members who continue to support arts education and our young artists. We invite everyone to stop by, explore the exhibit, and experience Timmins through the eyes of the next generation of creators.

Emma Peters, SHSM Arts and Culture student: “For me, art is not just about aesthetics or beauty. It is about who we are, what we have been through, and how we have changed. Each piece tells a story and reflects a unique perspective.”

Ms. Rothel, Art Teacher: “We are incredibly grateful to the Timmins Museum for once again providing our students with a professional space to showcase their work. This is Timmins High’s third exhibition at the museum, and each one has been an amazing opportunity to celebrate the creativity and artistic growth of our students. It is wonderful to see their talent recognized by the community and to promote the arts and creativity of our young people. We are already looking forward to planning our next exhibition.”
