Bell Let's Talk

Bell Let’s Talk Day 2023

January 25, 2023, marked the 13th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day.

Since 2011, Bell Let’s Talk Day has helped to provide a platform for Canadians and individuals around the world to participate collectively in a conversation around mental health. At DSB1, we consider mental health and well-being critical in the promotion of student success and achievement.
Post 2- Attendance Matters

Attendance Matters

Too often, we think of reducing absences as the job of parents or school administrators in the front office. Although, communities can make a difference in helping schools address chronic absence by building public awareness and leveraging resources.

At District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1), one of our three Strategic Priorities is Equity, where we anticipate, identify and work to remove barriers for each learner.

One of the many ways this Strategic Priority is actualized within our schools is through understanding the needs of our students, where we respond to their diverse learning needs through informed decisions and resource allocation.

Strategic Plan

Welcome to District School Board Ontario North East. Our vision is to empower all learners to achieve personal excellence. In our 2021-2025 Strategic Plan we have identified three priorities that are supported by our nine strategic actions.  Each month we share highlights of how DSB1 demonstrates the Strategic Plan.
