Pathways Planning & Experiential Learning
All students from District School Board Ontario North East can meet their learning needs, interests, and aspirations through pathways and experiential learning opportunities. A variety of pathways programs are offered to help all students develop the knowledge and skills to make informed education and career/life choices.
What is Pathways Planning?
The Ministry of Education provides an education and career/life planning program called Creating Pathways to Success to support Ontario students from kindergarten to grade 12. The program responds to the realities of a complex, rapidly changing world. It is based on the understanding that education and career/life planning is now a lifelong process that requires all learners to be flexible and able to adapt to changes in themselves and the world around them.
Students are encouraged to engage in a variety of opportunities to learn about themselves, identify strengths, and set educational/career goals to achieve them.
