Policy Review
Policy Review Process
- Review Cycle and Identification of Need
All policies are reviewed on a four-year cycle, as governed by the Board’s By-Law. The need for a new policy or updated document may be identified to address compliance, risk or a gap in operations beyond this cycle. - Community Feedback
Documents set for review are posted for community feedback. - Development and Revisions
Policies are revised by document owners, in line with Policy 1.1.9 Policy Development. Draft revisions are brought to Executive Council. - Committee Review
Draft policies are brought to Governance and Policy Committee for review and feedback. The Committee then makes a recommendation to the Board. - Approval
The Board approves the adoption, revision and revocation of policies. - Communication and Distribution
Following Board approval, changes are communicated internally. Documents are updated on the district’s Policy Library.
Policies to be Reviewed in 2026-2027
