Facilities, Availability and Priority of Use

Availability (upon Principal approval and custodial availability)

DSB1 facilities are available for rent from September until the last week of June each year. While schools have exclusive use of their space from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, most facilities are available for Community Use from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday.

*Please note that DSB1 does not rent facilities for private events, such as birthday parties or receptions.*

Due to maintenance and cleaning schedules, DSB1 facilities are unavailable for use during Summer Break, Christmas Break, March Break, Professional Activity Days and statutory holidays.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis, however, on an occasion where more than one community group is requesting the same space at the same time, priority will be given to not-for-profit, youth organizations. Please refer to the chart below for DSB1's Community User Group Classifications, and order of priority.

Priority 3	Class C - Not-For-Profit Other Groups	Adult recreational sports groups, seniors groups, community festivals, etc.
Priority 4	Class D - Commercial/ For-Profit Groups	Fitness classes, dance recitals, business meetings, commercial entertainment (concerts, shows, plays), etc.
