PURCHASING

1.0             Rationale

District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) recognizes high standards are expected of a public body when purchasing goods and services. The board recognizes the need to provide the most effective, efficient and economical manner, materials, supplies and services that will be available at the proper time, in the proper place, in quantity, quality and price consistent with requirements of the board.

It is the policy that the board will use the purchasing procedures described in this policy supported by the most recent version of the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive, issued by Management Board of Cabinet.
