BRAND STANDARDS

1.0             Rationale

District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) recognizes its name, logo, and visual assets as essential symbols of its identity, values, and reputation. These assets must be used consistently and appropriately to protect the integrity of its public image. By regulating their use, the Board ensures professional, unified communication that upholds public trust and reinforces its commitment to transparency, equity, and responsible stewardship.

2.0             Definitions

Brand Guide: The primary operational document maintained by the Communications Department that outlines the specific technical standards, rules for reproduction, and aesthetic requirements for all visual assets.

Visual Assets: Refers to any graphical or textual representation associated with the Board’s identity. This includes, but is not limited to, official logos, design elements, colour palettes, and typography.

3.0             Policy

DSB1 requires that all use of its name, logo, and visual assets comply strictly with the DSB1 Brand Guide. These assets are the copyrighted and exclusive property of the Board and must be used consistently to ensure a professional, unified identity that protects the Board's reputation and public trust.
