The Orange Collective: Connecting Community Through Student Art

Through a proud partnership with Blanche River Health and generous funding from Agnico Eagle Mines, our community art cabinet-the Orange Collective-continues to give Central's young artists an authentic audience beyond the classroom. Located in the foyer of the Kirkland Lake hospital, the orange cabinet holds framed, beautifully packaged student artwork that patients, visitors, and community members are invited to take home at no cost. With over 400 pieces shared so far, the project builds pride, engagement, and a deep sense of belonging for our students.

The Orange Collective is driven by one simple vision: to connect and make a difference in our community through art. Recipients regularly bring the project full circle by sharing heartfelt messages-from a visiting family member from Montreal who thanked students for spreading positivity, to a hospital staff member who shared how much joy her piece brought during a challenging shift.
