It’s almost time to register your child for Kindergarten at an in-person Kindergarten Registration Day on February 1 at Elementary schools!

Too often, we think of reducing absences as the job of parents or school administrators in the front office. Although, communities can make a difference in helping schools address chronic absence by building public awareness and leveraging resources.

The upcoming District School Board Ontario North East Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) meeting is occurring virtually on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. through Microsoft Teams.

At District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1), one of our three Strategic Priorities is Equity, where we anticipate, identify and work to remove barriers for each learner.

One of the many ways this Strategic Priority is actualized within our schools is through understanding the needs of our students, where we respond to their diverse learning needs through informed decisions and resource allocation.

At District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) secondary schools, students engage in enriching and rewarding opportunities to take their learning from within the classroom and apply it in hands-on ways through real-world applications with the Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program. Cooperative Education provides students valuable work experience while earning secondary school credits toward their diploma.

For the 2023-2024 school year, families and incoming Kindergarten students can register in-person at Elementary schools or online through our Student Registration page.
