World Mental Health Day

As supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), good mental health is vital to our overall health and well-being. Good mental health allows us to cope with challenges, connect with others, and thrive. It’s vital and deserves to be recognized and respected.

Within DSB1, our Mental Health Team works directly with educators, students, families, and community partners to promote wellness and help students build skills for resiliency through social emotional learning, noticing when students may be struggling with mental health issues or concerns, and supporting early assessment and prevention.

To support this work, DSB1 has developed a Keys to Wellness Toolkit to help students and families build and nurture their mental health. Click here to learn more.
