This week, we pause, listen, learn, and reflect as we honour the Survivors of Canada's residential school system, their families, and the children who never made it home.

As a learning and teaching system, we believe this an opportunity for all of us-students, staff, families, and communities-to deepen our understanding of the truth of Canada's history and consider our shared responsibilities in reconciliation.

Throughout the week, we invite our DSB1 community to engage in learning, conversations, and activities that centre Indigenous voices, histories, cultures, and experiences.

Reconciliation is not just about learning the past. It is about learning, sometimes unlearning, and the relationships we build for tomorrow.
