Introducing "Brain Boosters" for EQAO Prep!
Our Learning and Teaching team launched Brain Boosters, a quick and engaging way to help students strengthen key Language and Math skills while building confidence for EQAO.
These 5-minute questions give students regular practice with important concepts and EQAO-style thinking. Rooted in the Science of Learning, Brain Boosters promote strong routines, problem-solving, and meaningful discussion.

Skills Ontario’s Virtual Skilled Trade & Tech Day – Slick Wind Power Car Build
Grades 5 and 6 students from Central Public School and Joseph H. Kennedy Public School participated in Skills Ontario’s Virtual Skilled Trade & Tech Day Slick Wind Power Car Build. The event gave students the chance to design and build wind-powered cars while learning about engineering and renewable energy.
DSB1 Wins National Award for Student Kindness Contest
DSB1 is proud to announced it has received a Bravo Award from the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education (CACE-ACACÉ) in the Coup de Coeur category for its Kindness in Colour student t-shirt design contest, organized between the Mental Health Portfolio and Communications Department.
