Our Mental Health & Well-being Team understands that students may be experiencing a wide range of emotions and questions during these uncertain and unprecedented times.   Encourage your child to join them for weekly seminars designed to support their well-being and strengthen their resiliency.   Below is the schedule for the week of August 10 to 14, 2020.  To participate, email Lisa Nixon at lisa.nixon@dsb1.ca. 


Tuesday, August 11:  Talk about Attendance 

  • Students in Grades 4 to 8: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Students in Grades 9 to 12: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, August 12: Learn to practice and how to develop goals
  • Students in Grades 4 to 8: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Students in Grades 9 to 12: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Thursday, August 13: Celebrate the best things about school 
    • Students in Grades 4 to 8: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Students in Grades 9 to 12: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday, August 14: Learn how to build healthy routines
  • Students in Grades 4 to 8: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Students in Grades 9 to 12: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
