On Friday, September 14th, Mme Steele’s class celebrated International Dot Day with a “dot party”. International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration. It is based on the book The Dot by Peter Reynolds which the class read numerous times. In order to celebrate this day, the students arrived at school wearing polka dots. They re-created the dot art that was in the book all framed in swirly gold, they traced their names in dots, used muffin tins to stamp dots on paper and used Q-tips to create a mandala.
