On December 19th, 2018 staff and students from École Secondaire Cochrane High School's CSI class went to Lady Minto Hospital, in Cochrane, to deliver handmade gifts to the elderly patients in the long term care unit. While at the hospital, students had the opportunity to interact with the staff and patients all while spreading the joy of the holidays and singing Christmas carols. Students also created gifts for the elderly residents at the Cadence Residence. The students have been working extremely hard over the past weeks to prepare sown handbags and decorative wooden gifts. All gifts were handcrafted and showcase the students creative abilities. The chosen gifts, allowed students to explore various possibilities of recycling materials to produce environmentally friendly products. This event allowed students the opportunity to give back to the community, and exemplifies the idea of giving and caring during the holiday season. The staff and students would like to extend best wishes to all families in the Cochrane area this holiday season!
