R. Ross Beattie Food Drive Wrap-Up

August 23, 2017

Students of R. Ross Beattie have been carrying some rather heavy backpacks.

Over the last couple of weeks, the school has been involved in a class versus class food drive. Foods are allotted various point values and totals are counted daily. The competition has really heated up this week, with point totals in the 400-800 point range for many classes.

Many students have taken the challenge to heart, and have been braving the cold weather and heavy loads to go door to door in an effort to boost class totals and fill the shelves at the Timmins Food Bank.

In the end, the class with the biggest haul will be rewarded with their choice of a pizza lunch or sundae bar.

The staff of R. Ross Beattie are proud of their students' efforts and pleased to make a significant contribution to our community. After all, 'tis the season for giving!

Students and staff invite our media friends to our “Food Drive Wrap-Up” on Monday, December 19th. Photos will be available between 9:30am and 11:30am. Hope to see you there!
