The IFSS Relay For Life committee has been busy preparing for the upcoming event to be held on June 1st, 2018 from 10am-10pm at the IFSS track.
The IFSS Relay For Life is a student led relay which raises money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Participants register for $15 and spend 12 hours walking around the track of IFSS. Walking isn't the only thing that will be done though! There are various activities planned throughout the day to keep it fun, as well as food, music and prizes -- a "Party With a Purpose".
Organizers are still looking for participants, and also for survivors who would like to take part in the survivor lap. Those that register as survivors will have no charge and are welcome to stay as long as they want and partake in anything. Log onto the website to register www.relayforlife.ca/iroquoisfallsss
If you can't commit to relay, but still want to help, organizers are also looking for donations. Donations that they are looking for include: hot dogs and hamburgers along with buns, condiments for the BBQ, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, juice, water, Mr. Freezies, and baking (anything without nuts).
The committee held a bake sale on May 17 and 18, and managed to raise $233.55.
