Holocaust Workshop

May 14, 2018
The Wiesenthal Centre’s Tour for Humanity recently made stops at both Pinecrest and Golden Avenue Public Schools. This was the first time the tour stopped in Timmins. Grade 5 and 6 students were invited onto a bus equipped with a video wall, where they received a gentle introduction concerning the treatment of Jewish people during World War Two.  They also learned about Wiesenthal -- a Jewish architect from Austria who was sent to a concentration camp, survived the Holocaust, and later became a Nazi hunter.
