In support of Mental Health Week, students from the Kindness Club at Federal Public School learned about how healthy eating is proactive in promoting good mental health. The Club compared store bought "lunchables" with homemade ones. The students learned about the four food groups and then built their own "lunchables", ensuring that all four food groups were represented and they had lunches that were good for the body and mind. They also learned about proper food handling and clean up. The next step is to share their learning with the whole school. The Kindness Club is preparing to hold homemade "lunchable" workshops for each classroom in the coming weeks.
