Many Grade 10 students in Ontario will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) on Tuesday, April 10th. The OSSLT is a graduation requirement administered by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO). The test assesses the reading and writing skills students are expected to have learned in all subjects by the end of Grade 9 (as outlined in The Ontario Curriculum).
Staff at District School Board Ontario North East have been working very hard to prepare our students for the test.
Parents can also help their children prepare for the test by accessing sample practice questions and test information at www.eqao.com.
