Home Schooling can be an acceptable alternative to day school. School boards have an obligation to ensure that students of compulsory school age are receiving satisfactory instruction. It is the intention of District School Board Ontario North East to be in compliance with subsection 21(2) clause (a) of the Education Act and subsection 24(2) and /or section 30 “Inquiries by the Provincial School Attendance Counsellor” and all other relevant sections.
