Field Trip: A field trip is an off-site curriculum-oriented trip for students that is organized and supervised by teaching staff. These off-site trips may take place within Canada or internationally.
Students (Eligible): An eligible student is one that has met all the class/school requirements as outlined by the teacher and/or the principal. A student may not participate in an off-site field trip unless the student is enrolled in a sponsoring or participating school and is part of the class or group taking part in the off-site activity.
Third Party Venue: A Third Party Venue is a destination owned, operated and staffed by a business or group that is not government operated (i.e., Municipal, Provincial or Federal Government).
Supervised Waterfront: A supervised waterfront is any outdoor waterfront area designated for swimming or wading where supervision is provided by certified lifeguards, there is safety equipment on site, and emergency procedures are in place.
Supervised Pool: A supervised pool is any pool facility or location where supervision is provided by certified lifeguards, there is safety equipment on site, and emergency procedures are in place.
Open Water: Open water is any unsupervised body of water.
