Help for parents with children in French Immersion and Core French programs.

This site supports parents who have children studying FSL and wish to assist them with homework in French. It is also a resource for French Immersion students, as a user friendly reference tool to help with homework.

Homework Help provides after school math support for students in grades 7 through 10. The website is open 24/7 with tutors available Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  Students will have access to both guided and independent learning in a unique environment that combines technology and personal interaction. This free support is made possible by TV Ontario in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Education and District School Board Ontario North East.

The following resources and tools are available through Homework Help:

  • Tutor Chat Rooms — Ontario certified math teachers available to help students understand their math homework in an interactive environment
  • Best Sessions — recorded examples of common questions asked in chat rooms posted for all students
  • Interactive Tutorials — interactive, narrated lessons to help students with solving word problems
  • Listen & Learn — presentations on a variety of topics that enable students to get help when they need it
  • Tools — access to a scientific calculator, glossary, virtual locker and more!

Registering for Homework Help

All grade 7 to 10 math students within District School Board Ontario North East will have access to Homework Help. If you are currently taking a math course you have already been granted access. All you need is your Ontario Education Number (OEN) from your report card and your birth date to register and log in. When registering, you will need to choose a username and password and provide your email address. Contact your math teacher should you require further assistance.
