Cochrane Students Visit Cultural Grounds

November 06, 2017

The Cochrane Public School Eco-Adventure class recently visited the Cultural Grounds just outside of Cochrane with Mr. Gerald Chum from the Friendship Centre. While there, they had the opportunity to make bannock, cook moose meat and learn about the process of drying hides. The class was also able to create a craft replica of a beaver pelt using leather and willow. One day a week, the Eco-Adventure class takes learning beyond the classroom walls and into the forest and other outdoor spaces.
